NIRMG:
The Northern Ireland Radiation Monitoring Coordinating Committee is concerned with monitoring environmental radioactivity particularly because of the relative proximity to the Sellafield reprocessing plant in Cumbria.

The ARGUS project have been involved in the development, construction and operation of environmental gamma monitoring systems for over fourteen years. Fourteen systems are currently either up and running or being commissioned. Purchasers include many local authorities accross The UK.

LARnet was formed as LARRMACC in April 1990 by local government in the United Kingdom, to help it respond to the need to monitor nuclear radiation and respond to emergencies.
